This week’s quote:

Sex with me is very good.

First person to guess the movie this is from gets to pick next week’s movie quote. I will provide hints if necessary (and requested).

*crickets*

Okay, fine. Here’s a cat, too.
The late, lamented Eek.
Best. Cat. Ever.

That is a fine looking cat.

As for the film, of course the line is from “The Muppets Take Manhattan,” and is spoken by Gonzo.

    Sooo close…
I’m pretty sure you could find a connection.

  • 3. Eli  |  February 25th, 2005 at 7:27 pm

(and no, I don’t mean “The Rainbow Connection” – get your mind out of… wherever the hell it is)

  • 4. Thersites  |  February 25th, 2005 at 8:34 pm

    Well, shazbot!

Hmmm… does it involve puppets? Is it a John Hughes movie?

I’d google it, but I’m sure I’d only get hits for Gannon pix…

  • 5. Eli  |  February 25th, 2005 at 8:42 pm

Well, okay the “so close” was just sarcasm. But the second part was kind of a meta-hint.

  • 6. Eli  |  February 25th, 2005 at 8:43 pm

    ,

Damn, how did that comma fall out of my last comment?

  • 7. Phila  |  February 25th, 2005 at 10:16 pm

Wallace Shawn in “My Dinner With Andre”?

  • 8. Eli  |  February 25th, 2005 at 10:19 pm

Pretty sure that wasn’t in there, but I sure would love to hear him say it…

  • 9. NYMary  |  February 25th, 2005 at 11:10 pm

    OK, hint?

Oh, and I’ve forwarded your blog on to my brother, who’s onsessed with “Lost”–but I think he just thinks the Lord of the Rings guy’s a hottie.

  • 10. Thersites  |  February 25th, 2005 at 11:16 pm

But the second part was kind of a meta-hint.

    Jaws 3!

  • 11. Eli  |  February 25th, 2005 at 11:25 pm

Okay, what I said about the connection thing was actually a pretty Big hint (the preceding is actually three hints in one). As is the fact that I would have used it no matter *what* Thers had guessed. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

More conventional hint: Stormy office romance.

The LOTR guy? What dope is *he* smoking? Granted, I’m a straight guy, but applying my “are they someone I would want to look like?” criterion, I just don’t get it.

Are we allowed to ask questions? For example: is this a classic film?

  • 13. Eli  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:25 am

    Yes. And no.

  • 14. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:27 am

Thanks. So much for my theory, though.

  • 15. Eli  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:30 am

    Some additional help:

The “connections” stuff is a hint related to one of the principal cast members.

“Big” was a hint about the other.

  • 16. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:33 am

I don’t suppose it’s the one wherein Demi Moore sexually harasses Michael Douglas, and they have cheesy virtual-reality sex? I am blanking on the title and can’t be arsed to check the IMDB, as I am fairly confident it’s not the answer anyway.

  • 17. Eli  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:36 am

    Disclosure, but that’s not it.

  • 18. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:37 am

And yeah, I figured as much with the “big” and the “connections” thing. But knowing you, I am pretty sure those aren’t obvious hints (as in, it won’t be Tom Hanks and that James Burke fellow from the documentary series).

  • 19. Eli  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:38 am

The first is close, the second is not.

  • 20. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:40 am

Oooh, oooh, I think I know the answer.

  • 21. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:45 am

I suppose I might as well hazard a guess, as no-one else appears to be around presently. Is it He Said, She Said?

  • 22. Eli  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:47 am

    We have a winner!

You get to pick the next Friday Quote Blogging, preferably by Thursday night. Hopefully you will be available to provide hints and general assistance on Friday.

  • 23. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:49 am

    Aaaah! Pressure! *twitch*

  • 24. V  |  February 26th, 2005 at 12:50 am

But yeah, I’ll come up with something challenging, and I’ll try to stay away from anything Scandanavian. And count on me to be around for hints.

    Eek is lovely.
What became of her, pray tell?

  • 26. Eli  |  February 26th, 2005 at 1:29 am

Cancer. She was 14, I believe.

    Sigh.

Awwww!! Tortoiseshell. I love those color kitties. I don’t have one and haven’t had one in many years. We had one we called “Owley” when I was growing up. She was so cute. She was very like your little sweety.

    That’s kinda ironic, O.W.L…

Yes, torties rule. If someone bred tortie scottish folds, I would have to collect them all.
