The hot streak continues. Last night I went 5-for-6 with two bases-loaded triples and a home run, 4 runs, and (I think) a career-high 9 RBI (if I had been half a step slower on the first triple, I would have hit for the cycle…). Over my last four games, I’m 19-for-21, with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs, 16 runs, and 15 RBI (.905 BA, 1.524 SLG).

I was in right field, so I didn’t get much action defensively, although I caught the only fly hit to me, and I gunned someone down trying to go from first to third.

2006 Stats: 17 games, .644 BA (67-104), 1.077 SLG, 13 2B, 4 3B, 8 HR, 42 runs, 41 RBI.

Career Stats: 44 games, .599 BA (179-299), .823 SLG, 30 2B, 5 3B, 9 HR, 103 runs, 81 RBI.

Heh. It’s not quite as impressive as it sounds – the centerfielder just kept letting everything get past him…

[…] Well, the hot streak finally came to an end. Not a terrible day at the plate, though: 5-for-9 with a double, 2 runs, and an RBI. Didn’t get a whole lot of action in left field, unless you count watching home runs sail over my head… […]
