Russian group pretending to be American (by way of ABBA, apparently):
I love the guy in black – he’s just so happy to be in the band. And he kinda looks like Terry Gilliam.
Now, if I had any videos of Germans pretending to be Russian, I could post “Klabautermann”…

The Khan group is German, no? They’re singing in German it seems.
Anyway, I love them.

I was pretty sure they were Russian. If they’re German, they’ve certainly embraced the Russian thing very thoroughly.

Ah, you appear to be correct. Wikipedia has them as German. Damn, this screws up my whole theme…

Boney M is not an American group — they’re Caribbean-European, and at least one of their members (Claudja Barry) is a naturalised Canadian citizen. :) She actually used to live not too far from where I lived in Toronto.
