This Can Only Be Good For Republicans

ABC would be hard-pressed to find someone worse:

Mark Halperin, political director at ABC and overseer of its The Note — a popular daily Web tip sheet widely read by reporters — will give up his top position and become an analyst there. David Chalian of ABC replaces him.

A memo by ABC News President David L. Westin today attributes the move to Halperin wanting “more time to pursue writing.”

How can Chalian ever replace Hugh Hewitt’s BFF?

Ok, I’m dense. I read your post and the E&P article yet I am still not getting it. How is this good for Republicans?

I take it Halperin is Hugh Hewitt’s BFF yet he’s leaving. Isn’t that bad for right wing tools? Or is Chalian even more of a right wing tool? What am I missing here? What’s the back story?

Because *everything* is good for Republicans.

Even when shit goes wildly out of control, there’s always a bunch of pundits ready to explain how it’ll work to the Republicans’ benefit.

Ok, I see…thanks for the explanation.

And it’s very true. It’s alwasy good for Republicans because they are half glass full kinda people.

For instance, when Clinton was President, Tony Snow scoffed at the notion of Executive Privelage, but with Bush President, why, NO ONE can dare ask anyone in BushCo to testify to Congress under oath…

    It’s their sunny nobility.
