Little-Known New York City Facts

Contrary to what you might think, attempting to navigate the subway/Times Square/Grand Central with luggage and backpack at the tail end of Rush Hour is not much fun.

You look incredulous. but I assure that this is absolutely true, and has been experimentally verified through the most rigorous application of the Scientific Method.

Wait… What?

From Simon Rosenberg’s reaction to the failure of the immigration bill:

Somehow I thought that given the coming judgement of history, Mr. Bush would rise, drag his reluctant Party to the table, and end his time here with a powerful and moral act – bringing these 12 million out of the shadows – that would make it much difficult for history to break against him.

A powerful and moral act? Dude, which president and Party are you talking about?

You know, I have always believed that bottled water was kind of a scam, and I refuse to buy it, because the idea of paying for water always just seemed kind of stupid.

Friday Quote & Panda Blogging

This week’s quote is from a movie called Modern Vampires. I vaguely remember it sucking, but it certainly does have an interesting cast: Casper Van Dien, Rod Steiger, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Kim Cattrall, Craig Ferguson, Natasha Lyonne, Udo Kier. Udo Kier!!!

Be still, my beating trousers.

And, of course, there’ll be other people’s pandas…
It’s like the world’s feeblest horror movie.
