What Josh Marshall Says

I can’t argue with this:

Okay, I think we may have both the necessary and sufficient reason why Hillary Clinton shouldn’t be allowed to be president: her campaign song is by Celine Dion. Truly too horrifying to comtemplate.

Seriously, what on Earth was she thinking? Why not just go with Michael Bolton or Kenny G? I’m sure there are lots of people who think she’- wonderful, but I’m pretty sure I’ve never met any. Why pick a singer who is synonymous with awfulness that begs to be ridiculed?

Mind you, it’s not a road you or I or anyone we know would be caught dead on, but it’s a road the Hillary’s Likely Voters probably drive on.

The whole video and song thing is really pretty trippy, huh?

I don’t want to be part of any movement that involves Celine Dion. And, of course, her Republican opponent would be quick to point out that Celine Dion isn’t even ‘Murkan…

I haven’t read any criticism about Dion/the song from the right yet.

I just got hammered as “condescending” in an email exchange with an online friend who took exception to my clumsy attempts to describe the demographic I perceived HC playing to.

All I know is that it sure as hell isn’t the netroots,

I knew the weird would get going as soon as the video went up but I must say Althouse really did jump right up in front of the pack with her deep fried genitalia ravings.

I think the right would wait until the general election. I suspect that they really do want her as the nominee.

And you cannot imagine how little I want anything to do with Althouse’s deep-fried genitalia ravings. *shudder* What a truly awful creature.
