The Republican Mindset

2 comments September 13th, 2007at 06:48pm Posted by Eli

Misery and death is a small price to pay for a vanishingly small chance of a positive outcome, especially when it’s the misery and death of other people. Little people. Expendable people. And not just our own troops, but the millions of Iraqis killed, maimed, displaced, or ruined by this useless war.

It’s even more disgusting when you consider that the Commander-In-Chief truly has no plan beyond “Throw more troops and money at it until something good happens/it becomes someone else’s problem,” and occasionally yelling, “Be more competent!” at the Iraqi government (which is ironic to say the least). We are not paying “a small price” for a big return; we are paying a large price for a small, or even negative return.

    Dear Gop: Leader Boehner:

Please send your two daughters Lindsay and Tricia to our war.

Seriously. They are a small price to pay for your safety.
    Signed,

Iraq dead people, dead Americans, dead contractors, dead British troops, dead Afghanis.

Well, it’s *only* a small price when it’s someone else’s kids, obviously.
