What I said:

http://bdr.typepad.com/blckdgrd/2007/10/oh-please.html

Getting mad at assholes for being assholes is wasted wankery - and makes the assholes giggle.

Get mad at the silent - and complicit - purported leaders of our side.

It's the Cadillac-driving welfare queens all over again. These people have no conscience, and no shame.

This angers me to a point I can't even articulate.

We have friends in the SCA whose son was diagnosed with cancer. They were on CHIP and those treatments would have not happened without it. They live in a nice house in Butler County and the kids are all attending public school. They are able to participate in SCA stuff because they made friends in the organization that has donated fabric and other things for their clothing and other paraphanalia. But, you know, they shouldn't be doing anything but looking hollow-cheeked and suffering because they can't afford private health care.

Oh, and neither can the family of four that lives solely off of the husband's lawyer salary of around $40,000/year. He gets no health care because he's not a partner and has to slog through the BS in order to get there someday. Currently his wife and children go uncovered because they didn't know about the CHIP program to be able to get coverage. So, they have dealt with serious illness by costing more health care dollars by going to the emergency room when the kids are so sick they have to.

But, you know, the really poor families are the homeless ones...but this is the party of Regan, the man who once said that 300,000 people in America go to bed hungry each night - they're all on diets. Compassionate conservatives my fat, white, fluffy arse.

I'm more coherent when I'm not seething with rage. Hope this communicates well.
