French city of Nantes recently became host to extremely strange and fascinating sculptural display: “Les Machines de l’Ile Nantes”, designed by François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice. Claude Joannis has a few photographs that’ll give you some idea about how extraordinary cool this exhibition is (the first on my list of museums to visit, if possible!)
Lots more awesome photos at the link.

Whatever you do, just don’t tell Bill O’Reilly…while he may think he can take that giant squid, I don’t really think he can.

On another note, I read in the news about a week ago how the UAE was paying some company in England billions of dollars to build them a bunch of life size robotic realistic looking dinosaurs to roam around in a UAE museum. They want the dino’s to interact with people…This must be where the UAE got their idea from. No expence spared ofcouse.
Why the hell don’t they just creat a Jurasic Park? They’re already making man made islands and indoor ski resorts in the freakin desert.

Ah hell, here is the link:
The real Jurassic Park?
A new $1-billion theme park in Dubai – featuring over 100 animatronic dinosaurs of 40 different species – promises to take you closer to a prehistoric world than you’ve ever been before.
The Tyrannosaurus rex follows you with watchful hungry eyes, but unlike his likeness in the Jurassic Park film, this robot – found at the world’s most impressive dinosaur theme park – is unlikely to snap you up for dinner.
