So there’s this guy in Japan, Ken Ohyama, who takes pictures of highway interchanges, mostly at night.¬† Damn, I wish I had thought of that.

(I do have some Newark Airport photos which are kind of similar, tho.)

    So the concrete towers are supposed to catch the roadways when the next big earthquake hits? Or provide drivers with something to hang on to when the tsunami rolls across Tokyo prefecture?

    Actually, the thing looks pretty flexible. If it’s anchored properly, it might do pretty well in an earthquake.

    Having said that, I’d rather not be caught there no matter how safe it actually was…
