Serendipitous Fisheye Photoblogging
July 5th, 2008at 11:00am Posted by Eli
I did have a very photographically fruitful day at the San Diego Zoo yesterday (although I missed the enormous silverback gorilla charging at the glass to establish dominance), but I’ll probably save most of those for Friday Quote & ____ Blogging. I did manage to process just enough fisheye photos to keep the photoblogging going, though.
I forgot to check my lightmeter before taking my first photo of the day, so it was just a teensy bit overexposed. But I thought it actually looked kinda cool, so I just went with it. This version is actually pulled back from the brink a little bit - you can see the less-processed version here.

I’m pretty sure this is another one of those put-the-sun-directly-behind-the-subject-and-see-what-happens photos… Also a bit of a self-portrait, unfortunately. I like the B&W version too.
