Friday Quote And Snake/Hamster Blogging

This week’s quote is easily the best line in the entire history of 3rd Rock From The Sun:

This isn’t a thimble!  It’s Turkish nipple armor!

And, of course, there’ll be other people’s hamster-loving snakes…

Ratings Advisory Of The Week

From the NYT review of Last House On The Left:

‘The Last House on the Left’ is rated R (Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian). Characters are raped, stabbed, shot, mangled and fed to labor-saving devices.

Oh, Technology – is there anything you can’t do?

Republicans Hate Unemployed People

Rick Perry joins Mark Sanford and Bobby Jindal as the latest Republican governor to turn down stimulus money in general, or unemployment money in particular, with potentially more to come.

Wow, it’s a good thing for Republicans that unemployed people aren’t allowed to vote.  What’s that?  They are?  Then I guess the GOP damn well better pray for the success of the stimulus bill that they almost unanimously opposed, because they just missed their chance to fix that election eligibility loophole.

Well, As Long As They Weren’t Naked

This is probably not the best defense strategy…

* Oy

“No money was exchanged. Nobody was naked.”

That’s how Gary Skoien decided to fend off allegations by his wife that she caught him in their children’s playroom with two prostitutes. Skoien is the Palatine Township Republican Committeeman and former Cook County GOP Chairman.

Because that’s totally appropriate.  Better yet, Skoien filed a domestic battery report against his 5’4″, 110-lb. wife for attacking him after finding her husband with a pair of hookers in their kids’ playroom.  Women can be so irrational sometimes.

In fact, not only did he file a domestic battery report, but that’s where he told the cops about the hookers.  Brilliant.
