Frank Luntz Continues To Be A Dishonest Amoral Scumbag

His 10 pointers for Republicans on how to talk about healthcare are mostly all about emphasizing how the GOVERNMENT BUREAUCRACY will DENY YOUR TREATMENT.

Um, and what exactly is it that the insurance companies’ bureaucracies do?  And in their case, denying care is an actual explicit goal.

It looks like Luntz’s strategy is predicated on the assumption that everyone loves their private healthcare and would hate to give it up, even at a lower pricepoint.  As long as Obama and the Democrats remind Americans that their healthcare already sucks at a much higher cost, they should be able to make the Republicans look like foolish, pro-corporate shills.  Whether they actually do that remains to be seen.  Based on their history, I’m not optimistic.  But the opportunity is there.

How to Win Votes And Influence People

Torture and unlawful detentions yes, healthcare no.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Republican Party.  How could anyone resist such an attractive, Culture-Of-Life-y package?
