That was funny. I can see this sort of thing ACTUALLY happening. I like Terry Pratchett’s DEATH character in his Discworld books, just doing a job nobody else wants, frustrated by wizards always trying to cheat him etc.

I liked Piers Anthony’s On A Pale Horse. The series starts getting pretty silly with the third book, though.
