Which Powershot you have in mind? The SX230HS can be had for $199, which looks like a pretty fantastic deal.

It’s more the Powershot I have, as opposed to the one I’m looking at. It came in the form of my xmas bonus and is an A3300IS

Not as familiar with that one, but it looks pretty good. Canon makes very good point-and-shoots generally.
