Entry Filed under: Monday Media BloggingThis week’s quote is from Marty, starring Ernest Borgnine:
Comes New Year’s Eve everybody starts arranging parties. I’m the guy they have to dig up a date for.
And, of course, there’ll be other people’s festive holiday talking porcupines…
Who among us does not love Teddy?

Entry Filed under: Monday Media BloggingThis week’s quote is from a movie called Justice, which may or may not be this one:
Blood all over the place. It’s going to take days to separate their noses from the sparkplugs.
And, of course, there’ll be other people’s wee puppies…
Aww.

Entry Filed under: Friday Quote & Cat Blogging…Based on the right’s passionate and indignant opposition to any and all policies that would curtail them:
The right’s definition of “life” as fetuses and corporations is as narrow and senseless as their definition of “civility” as the absence of swear words.

Entry Filed under: Choice,Politics,Republicans,WankersHey, here’s a thought: How about we eliminate the cap on income subject to payroll taxes, then revisit Social Security benefits?
And if that means we have to increase those benefits or lower the retirement age to make the numbers balance out, well, I’m willing to live with that.

Entry Filed under: PhotobloggingDay 1: No, it’s much to soon to talk about gun laws.
Day 2: No, still too soon.
Day 3: Nope, sorry.
…
Day n-1: Still too soon.
Day n: Shooting? What shooting? Why do we need to talk about gun laws all of a sudden?

Entry Filed under: Democrats,Politics,Republicans,WankersThis week’s quote is from the Stephen King killer-steam-press movie, The Mangler:
Look, don’t start with the sprout-breath, political, mystical bullshit, Mark – I’m not in the mood this evening, thank you.
And, of course, there’ll be other people’s baby boar piglets being raised by bulldogs…
Aww.

Entry Filed under: Friday Quote & Cat BloggingSo, to sum up the family history of Sarah Palin, the darling of religious conservative “values voters”:
They sound like some kind of immoral godless liberal stereotype, to be honest. But hey, as long as you keep saying all the right things, you can have sex with children and sheep for all the Republican base cares.

Entry Filed under: PhotobloggingThis week’s quote is from the alleged Albert Brooks classic Lost In America (I like Albert Brooks, but I was underwhelmed):
Porno movies? But we wanna touch Indians…
And, of course, there’ll be other people’s cats…
Cats are masters of nonviolent resistance. And violent resistance, for that matter.
